Our sustainable commitments

Fully aware of the impact our industry has on the environment, we have chosen to actively commit to an eco-responsible approach in order to preserve the current beauty of the mountains for everyone’s enjoyment—now and for future generations.

La Ferme de Cupelin was designed so that hospitality goes hand-in-hand with environmental respect.

A sustainable and responsible accommodation

Our establishment has been renovated in line with local traditions, prioritizing ecological and locally sourced materials such as stone and wood, found within a 20km radius of the hotel.

Insulation, organic paints, and the use of renewable energy—thanks to a biomass boiler and solar panels—allow us to manage and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.

For the decor, elements have been carefully selected from committed brands like Angel des Montagnes (based in Thonon), Castex for their French-made bedding, and Garnier Thiebaut from the Vosges region for their bath linens, made in France.

We use eco-friendly cleaning equipment and products, ensuring the cleaning and disinfecting of our spaces without the use of any harmful chemicals.

All single-use items have been removed from our rooms and bathrooms. The hygiene products provided come from the artisanal soap factory Maäna, located in Saint Jean de Sixt, Haute-Savoie. These products are made from 100% natural, eco-friendly, and biodegradable ingredients—packaging included. To replace disposable slippers, we provide reusable flip-flops made from recycled materials.

Gentle and immersive tourism

We promote responsible tourism by offering guests activities that are in harmony with nature: hiking, electric bike rides, and exploring local heritage.

Through these initiatives, La Ferme de Cupelin proves that a high-end stay can also be environmentally friendly. By choosing our hotel, each traveler contributes to a more sustainable and conscious tourism model, all while enjoying an exceptional setting at the foot of Mont-Blanc.

To support our approach, here are some eco-friendly practices you can apply:

Reduce and sort your waste.

Towels will only be changed if placed in the bathtub. Others will be kept and put back in place.

Use the appropriate button when flushing the toilet.

Turn off lights and the TV when leaving your room.

Turn off the heating when opening the windows.
